Peter Knuttel |
|
Peter Knuttel was born in 1945 of German and English parentage.
He attended the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and since then has achieved International recognition for his etchings and aquatints which have been shown world wide through the London Contemporary Art in Chelsea, London.
Peter is also a watercolourist with a National and International reputation.
His work in this medium is represented in many public and private collections both in Ireland and abroad. He paints with confidence and definition - yet he achieves the softness of our misty Irish Landscape through the use of tonal graduation. Peter’s technique is unique, his colours vivid and brushwork soft - the overall effect is extremely effective.
He is a member and shareholder of The Graphic Studio, Dublin, which is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and has been an adviser in the design of many printmaking studios throughout Europe, most recently in Florence.
Peters Knuttel exhibits his Watercolours and Original Prints at Kilcock Art Gallery, Co. Kildare
